NS C90
Title:  NS C90
Description:  While this photo looks like a poorly photoshopped train coming out of the snow, I swear this actually is real. With NS #7204 (SD80MAC), NS #7201 (SD80MAC), NS #7200 (SD80MAC) on the west end, an empty coal train using the symbol C90 kicks the snow off the rails as it heads to the mine to load on Friday March 10, 2017. The train is making a reverse move off of the Pittsburgh Line to load at the Sonman Mine in Portage, Pennsylvania. To get to the coal tipple, the train operates push-pull style, and has NS #7209 (SD80MAC) and NS #7214 (SD80MAC) on the east end of the train. On July 15, 1940, a mine explosion occurred at the Sonman Shaft Coal Company. Sixty-three miners died out of the estimated ninety trapped in the mine after the initial explosion.
