Description:  At 5:37pm on Monday July 7, 2014, westbound "mixed freight" (actually 99% empty tank cars) train 11G, led by NS #8042 (ES44AC) and NS #1076 (SD70ACe) with help from rear helpers NS #6317 (SD40E) and NS #6304 (SD40E), passed mile post 251 on the Pittsburgh Line in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

Title:  CSX K055 with the NS Nickel Plate Road Heritage Unit
Description:  CSX finally has a heritage unit! The only problem is, it isnt theirs! On Monday, March 24, 2014, westbound empty ethanol train K055 headed west through Struthers, Ohio on CSX rails on Monday, March 24, 2014 with NS #8100 (Nickel Plate Heritage Unit; ES44AC), NS #8088 (ES44AC), and BNSF #4992 (Dash 9-44CW). Here, the train can be seen passing the Pittsburgh and Lake Eries former Gateway Tower and hump. While the P&LE and the Nickel Plate both may be gone, its great to see that the Nickel Plate has been remember with this special unit (COME ON CSX). This is the first NS heritage unit to pass through Youngstown, Ohio on CSX rails.

Description:  Right location, wrong line! On Monday, March 24, 2014, westbound empty ethanol train K055 headed west through Youngstown, Ohio at the Center Street interlocking with NS #8100 (Nickel Plate Heritage Unit; ES44AC) leading the way, followed by NS #8088 (ES44AC), and BNSF #4992 (Dash 9-44CW). Whats unique about this picture is that this train is on CSXs New Castle Sub, not on its home rails of the Youngstown Line! This is the first NS heritage unit to pass through Youngstown, Ohio on CSX rails.

Title:  NS 04T - Amtrak Pennsylvanian 42
Description:  At 9:35am on Friday August 18, 2017, the eastbound Amtrak Pennsylvanian, train 42, with Amtrak #99 (P42DC) passed the crowded porch of The Station Inn Bed and Breakfast in Cresson, Pennsylvania. It was raining, and nobody, including myself, wanted to leave the porch to take a picture. I captured Rob, James, and Dan Del Prato giving a wave to the train. The Amtrak train is passing eastbound loaded grain train 56K with NS #8092 (ES44AC) and NS #9210 (C44-9W), which is sitting on Five West. In an hour or so, RJ Corman would come to pick up this train.
