Title:  CSX W009 with DOTX Cars
Description:  On Veterans Day 2014, I caught a rather patriotic looking move on CSXs New Castle Subdivision. CSX #2200 (Road Slug) and CSX #6406 (GP40-2) led W009 east through Lowellville, Ohio at 12:40pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 with two red, white, and blue painted cars belonging to the Federal Railroad Administration. The baggage car is DOTX 223, followed by DOTX 219, the Federal Railroad Administrations Office of Safety. Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have gathered about DOTX 223, it was originally built as a troop car for the Army, wearing US Army 89630. It was then rebuilt and went to Amtrak as AMTK 1360. It wore DRCX 1360 before being painted as it is today.

Description:  On Tuesday, July 15, 2014, an eastbound mixed freight passed through Salem, Ohio with a prison escapee in consist. Prison, in this case, can be defined as a museum. Escapee, in this case, can be defined as Union Pacific #6944, a DDA40X! Eastbound mixed freight train 34N held a part in the honor of moving this special locomotive from the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri to Altoona, Pennsylvania for cosmetic restoration. At 10:41am, eastbound mixed freight 34N, led by NS #6704 (SD60), NS #8793 (C40-9), BNSF #7496 (ES44DC), (Ex- UP) NS #6514 (SD60), NS #9353 (C40-9W), and MOTX/UP #6944 (DDA40X) passed milepost 70 on Norfolk Southerns Fort Wayne Line in Salem, Ohio. The DDA40X would later be put on the following days 10A to be taken to Juniata Locomotive Shop in Altoona.

Description:  CSX finally has a heritage unit! The only problem is, it isnt theirs! On Monday, March 24, 2014, westbound empty ethanol train K055 headed west through Struthers, Ohio on CSX rails on Monday, March 24, 2014 with NS #8100 (Nickel Plate Heritage Unit; ES44AC), NS #8088 (ES44AC), and BNSF #4992 (Dash 9-44CW). Here, the train can be seen passing the Pittsburgh and Lake Eries former Gateway Tower and hump. While the P&LE and the Nickel Plate both may be gone, its great to see that the Nickel Plate has been remember with this special unit (COME ON CSX). This is the first NS heritage unit to pass through Youngstown, Ohio on CSX rails.

Description:  On Friday, February 28, 2014, eastbound mixed freight train Q368 sported a former Santa Fe war bonnet as the leading unit.
